The office-bearers of the AMU students union had locked the offices of the registrar, examination controller, proctor and finance controller on Monday, demanding removal of Khan for maligning the unions image.
The university administration has accepted the resignation of Prof Khan as the proctor, said AMU spokesperson Zeeshan Ahmad.
