Akhilesh meets British envoy

Lucknow:Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday met British High Commissioner to India Sir James Bevan at his official residence 5 Kalidas Marg. A press release by the state government said Bevan expressed his country’s desire to further consolidate the bilateral ties with India,especially with Uttar Pradesh,during the courtesy call. Apart from minister of state for Protocol Abhishek Mishra,deputy chairman of State Planing Commission N C Bajpayi and chief secretary Jawed Usmani were also present at the meeting.

Hardoi DM shifted

Lucknow:The UP government on Thursday transferred the district magistrate of Hardoi Ajay Kumar Shukla. He was shifted to the Medical Health Department as special secretary.
