10-year-old girl ‘raped’,found dead

A 10-year-old girl,who was allegedly raped in the fields near her village under Nagram police station of Lucknow on Monday evening,died in hospital late on Thursday night.

The girl was admitted to Jhalkaribai Hospital on Monday after she was recovered unconscious and bleeding from the fields near her village in Nagram area.

When her condition did not improve,she was shifted to the trauma centre of King George Medical University where she succumbed,he said.

The police have lodged a complaint against unidentified persons and arrested a labourer from a neighbouring village on Wednesday.
