Two Trinamool supporters die in bomb attacks

Another Trinamool supporter Sarful Alam,whose eyes were damaged by crude bombs,has been admitted to the same hospital in a critical condition.

According to police,both Malik and Sheikh were relatives of Trinamool panchayat member of Jabuni village,Ramesha Bibi. Sheikh was a Class VIII student of a local high school.

Local Trinamool leaders alleged CPM-backed goons attacked them after the panchayat member refused to give money to them.

They said local CPM leaders also wanted the panchayat member to give them the power of attorney to carry out panchayat’s works.

“The CPM goons led by Mujai Sheikh and Ranglal Sheikh attacked me and threatened me with dire consequences if we refused to shell out the cash. Last night,they killed my nephews with bombs,” said Amir Ali,husband of the village panchayat member.

However,CPM zonal secretary Arup Bag claimed the incident took place following a clash between anti-socials and the Trinamool is trying to give it a political colour.

The police have conducted raids to nab the culprits and armed police have been deployed at the spot.

“We have conducted raids in the village but no one has been arrested,” said Birbhum SP Rabindranath Mukherjee.

“All the miscreants are absconding,” he added.
