DJs Aaron James and Sanjay Nedou will play for peace at The Love Hotel at Ai in Saket. The event,called Give Peace a Chance,invites everybody to express their feelings about 26/11. “We are inviting musicians,music lovers and artists to come together and express their feelings on a graffiti wall. There will be a moment of silence when candles will be lit in remembrance and we will release white balloons in the sky,” says James,who has previously collaborated with DJ MoCity for another peace project titled Drop Beats,Not Bombs.

Singer-composer Shibani Kashyap has made a special video called Alvida as a tribute to the martyrs. She will perform the song at the DLF Promenade tomorrow. “We have a habit of brushing everything under the carpet once life returns to normal. I did not want that to happen to the ones whose lives were lost so tragically,” she says,adding how she had chalked out the blueprint of the song while the attacks were still on. The video,which will be premiered across television channels,features 22 television and film actors including Mona Singh,Iqbal Khan,Sandhya Mridul and Rahul Roy. Kashyap adds that the song will be part of her next album called Free Spirit.

Bharatnatyam dancer Geeta Chandran will dedicate her performance at Braj Mahotsav at the IGNCA lawns tomorrow to the victims and survivors of 26/11 as well as the commandos who fought the terrorists. “The legends of Krishna reiterate the eternal message of victory of good over evil,” she says. “The composite culture of Braj is that it is a melting pot for Hindu,Islamic,Jain and Buddhist streams.” Her pieces have been choreographed on poetry by Parmanand,Ras Khan,Meerabai and Surdas among others. “The larger message of Braj is harmony,” says the dancer. The Lodi,the garden restaurant at the Lodi Garden,plans to put up a poster on the theme of terror at their entrance. “It symbolises our resolve to unite against terror,since the attack was targeted at the hospitality sector,” says Anil Sharma,general manager,marketing,The Lodi.
