The Twenty20 Inter-College Cricket Tournament ended on a high here on Tuesday as hosts Techno India Salt Lake clinched a three-wicket victory against Asansol Engineering College in the final to win the title at Salt Lake’s GD Block ground.

The Twenty20 Inter-College Cricket Tournament ended on a high here on Tuesday as hosts Techno India Salt Lake clinched a three-wicket victory against Asansol Engineering College in the final to win the title at Salt Lake’s GD Block ground. Ten engineering college teams participated in the annual championship organised by Techno India Group,alongside two other teams comprising faculty and management. The event began on February 15.

After a week of stiff competition,Techno India Salt Lake,Asansol Engineering College,Siliguri Institute of Technology and Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology made it to the semi-finals,while Techno India and Asansol EC eventually made it to the title clash. Sayandip Barman was Man of the Series and Man of the Match.

In the final,Asansol,after being put in to bat first,scored 169 for 8. Techno India replied with 170 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Maidan bigwigs PK Banerjee,Sambaran Banarjee,Saradindu Mukherjee and Alvito d’Cunha handed over the trophies.
