Three arrested for ferrying ganja

Three persons,including two women,were arrested on Sunday for allegedly ferrying five tonnes of ganja at Behrampore in Murshidabad district.

Acting on a tip-off,a truck containing sacks of ganja was stopped at Girja More at Behrampore. The truck was carrying the consignment from Nagaland and was traveling to Nabadwip,customs officials said.

The arrested persons are being interrogated and the truck has been impounded,said police.
