When we bring up Road,Movie with Abhay Deol,he immediately starts talking about what to expect from the film. Im dancing three item numbers while the heroine has just one and Satish Kaushik has given a horrible performance, he says grimly. Were baffled and he sees it,so tones down and adds,I want a lot of people to watch the film,and me doing three item numbers might pull in the crowds,dont you think?
Deol finally relaxes and talks about Road,Movie which sounds interestingly unconventional. I drive around the interiors of Rajasthan in a truck,with a cinema setup and we show a film at every stop. Its basically called moving cinema, he explains. While shooting,we actually drove around a lot in the blazing heat,interacting with the locals. Everyone we met was crazy about cinema,which is also what the film is about.
Deols own production house,Forbidden Films,will soon start work on its own film Basra,where the actor will be playing a RAW agent. Its still in the planning stages. I have a lot of ideas and film concepts. I really hope one of my productions will work out this year. So do we.
