An eight-year-old son of a factory worker was found killed on Saturday morning after he was kidnapped from Dumdum area on Friday. The childs body was recovered from a canal near Barasat in North 24 Parganas early morning. Three youths were arrested in connection with the killing,said police.
Subham Chakraborty was kidnapped allegedly by three youths from Sinthi at Dumdum on Friday. After the child went missing since morning,his father Suvendu Chakraborty,a factory worker,lodged a complaint with the Dumdum police station.
The situation came to light after the locals found the childs body wrapped in a bag at Haroa canal,near Barasat Saturday morning. Following this,Dumdum police contacted Suvendu for identifying the body.
Following the identification of the body,the police started investigation and arrested Rajesh Pande,Biswanth Ghosh and Kena Ghosh. According to police,Rajesh is Suvendus tenant.
