The elusive ways of AICC observer CP Joshi have irked party cadres at Bidhan Bhawan. Six months after Shaqueel Ahmed Khan’s exit as AICC observer for West Bengal,Joshi is still largely unknown in the party’s state unit. While Khan was always available,visiting the state from time to time and meeting party cadres,Joshi however,does not seem to have time for the state.

There is lot of confusion over the exact amount spent on the renovation of chief secretary Sanjay Mitra’s bungalow. While some reports put the figure at Rs 60 lakh,urban development minister Firhad Hakim rubbished these reports and said only Rs 6 lakh was spent.

for over a month. How is it possible that an official of the rank of additional

chief secretary,who is holding the post of land and land reforms headed by the chief minister herself,does not have such important office staff like personal secretaries and assistant? Nobody has a clue.
