Parvathy Omanakuttan may have lost by barely a whisker at the Miss Universe contest, but another Indian beauty has managed to walk away with top honours at the Miss Tourism International 2008 event, held in Malaysia over New Year. 21-year-old model Manasvi Mamgai from Elite Model Management, was a last minute entrant at the pageant, which had 40 participants from across the world. “It was a last minute decision to go for the event,so I reached 5 days into the event. It was a fabulous experience,” says Mamgai,a regular on fashion ramps in Delhi. While the win has got her Rs 1.5 lakh as prize money besides some gifts, her title will see her promoting tourism at large. However, not surprisingly,it’s Bollywood that the lissome beauty has set her sights on. “I have just finished an acting course and now I’m on the lookout for some good roles,” she says. Watch out for this debutante.
