Colossal waste

The two floors of the Information and Culture department will be housed at Nabanno,the HRBC building have been designed and decorated at Rs 8 lakh each by a city-based company and the packing and shifting of files will be done by another city-based firm at Rs 7.5 lakh. All this has given opposition enough ammunition to get back at the government. Critics are saying that two years ago,the PWD spent crores on revamping the rooms and now they will have to be demolished to make way for a swanky office. Wasn’t that a colossal waste,critics ask,particularly at a time when the government is not in a position to pay the DA to government employees for more than a year.
