1 killed in Hooghly blast

One person was killed and four of a family were seriously injured after a bomb exploded in their house in Hooghly district on Sunday,police said.

One person was killed and four others were hospitalised with serious injuries after a bomb went off inside their house, an officer of Rishra police station said.

The bomb squad is inspecting the site and we are probing the matter, added the officer.

The family have alleged that the bag was exchanged in the train during their way back from Gaya in Bihar. Hoogly Superintendent of Police Tanmoy Raychowdhury said the bag,which got exchanged when the family was returning from Gaya,exploded. The family had not complained either to the railway police or the local police about the exchange of the bag,the SP said.
