It isn’t just Rahul Gandhi who’s celebrating the power of “Youngistan”. An ongoing exhibition at the Triveni Kala Sangam has artist Jaspreet Gujral turning ecstatic about the power of GenNext. Titled “A Youth Of Labour with An Age of Ease,” the exhibition contains 11 canvases — full of bold strokes and bright colours that symbolise the zeal and zest of young India. Among the most catchy figures in the paintings, are birds which represent a youngster’s desire to break free and soar to the sky. “The show is dedicated to the energy, enthusiasm, steadfastness and the expressiveness of GenX. They struggle hard to live with ease. This has also helped me break free from my strict and disciplined lifestyle and controlled expressiveness. I have re-lived my youth vicariously through the journey of making these paintings,” says Jaspreet Gujral. The works, priced between Rs 42,000 and Rs 62,000,is clearly for the more pocket-heavy youngster.

The exhibition is on till May 26.
