With super majority comes super responsibility

Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia told MLAs on Tuesday that people had voted them to power with a “super majority” and with that they had entrusted them with a “super responsibility”.

Think out of the box

Sisodia told the House that they will have to think “out of the box” and do away with the rigid laws and practices that are made to protect and ease the grievances of people and not add to their problems.

Go easy on mics

The Deputy Chief Minister said, “The last time we were here (Assembly), we were a bit upset. This time we will not have any MLAs breaking microphones. The time of the Assembly will be dedicated to Delhi.”

You should be more concerned about the promises you made to the people,” he said. Gupta told AAP MLAs, “People are very smart.” This was greeted with applause, considering the BJP got only three seats.

This day, last year

Kejriwal: “One year ago, we were here (Assembly), Congress MLAs sat on one side, the BJP MLAs on the other. They came together and tore files, broke mics and shouted, “Hum 40 hai”. A year later, destiny, God and the people of Delhi have reduced 40 to three.
