Divya Thakur, whose funky brand Design Temple produces high-end limited edition merchandise, has come up with an environment friendly range of products monikered Animania. Inspired by Indian mythology, the collection depicts a modern day interpretation of the vahanas or vehicles of the Gods, that range from the peacock to eagle, tiger and mongoose. “It so happens that we have chosen vahans which are from the endangered species,” says Thankur, who has worked with a team of international designers for the project.

The products include rugs,(the most expensive at Rs 30,000) planner diaries, alpha cards, playing cards and limited edition prints. Ten percent of the money raised by the sale of these products will go as funds to the SOS foundation that works to conserve wildlife and endangered species.

The collection is available in Good Earth outlets till January 9,2011. An exhibition showcasing the products is also on at Select Citywalk.
