Dhurandhar box office collection day 26: All records broken by Ranveer Singh’ film as it enters Rs 1100 cr club
Dhurandhar box office collection day 26: Ranveer Singh's film earns Rs 712 crore in India and Rs 1096 crore globally. Its next targets are RRR (Rs 782 crore) domestically and Jawan (Rs 1160 crore) worldwide.
Dhurandhar box office collection day 26: Ranveer Singh film earns Rs 712 crore.
Aditya Dhar’s period spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, is breaking new box office records every day at both the domestic and the worldwide box office. In India, it’s already become the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time after surpassing Atlee’s 2023 action thriller Jawan (Rs 640.25 crore), starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Globally, it now holds the position of the highest Bollywood grosser, next to only Nitesh Tiwari’s 2016 coming-of-age sports drama Dangal, starring Aamir Khan.
Domestic box office
On Tuesday (day 26), Dhurandhar added another Rs 11.25 crore to its domestic box office collection. This was a marginal improvement on its earnings on Monday (day 25) when it scored only Rs 10.50 crore, its lowest single-day collection yet. Even in its fourth week, it’s managed to become the only Indian film to earn in double digits consecutively every day.
The total box office collection of Dhurandhar in India after 26 days stands at Rs 712.25 crore, making it the only Bollywood film to enter the Rs 700 crore club domestically. Its next domestic target is to surpass the box office earnings of SS Rajamouli’s 2022 Telugu period fantasy RRR, which amassed Rs 782.20 crore across languages.
If it manages that, Ranveer’s film will become the fourth highest grossing Indian film ever at the domestic box office after Sukumar’s 2024 Telugu action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1234.10 crore), starring Allu Arjun; Rajamouli’s 2017 Telugu action fantasy Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1030.42 crore), starring Prabhas; and Prashanth Neel’s 2022 Kannada action thriller KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 859.70 crore), starring Yash.
Dhurandhar has already beaten the dubbed Hindi versions of RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become the second highest grossing Hindi film at the domestic box office after the dubbed version of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is the only Hindi film to enter the Rs 800 crore club at Rs 812.14 crore. Ranveer’s film has begun to slow down, but if it picks up again, it may dethrone Pushpa 2: The Rule at least on this front.
Worldwide box office
Dhurandhar is also taking leaps at the global box office. It’s already crossed the Rs 1000 crore milestone and surpassed Nag Ashwin’s 2024 Telugu sci-fi dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 1042.25 crore), starring Prabhas, to become the seventh highest grossing Indian film of all time. After 26 days at the global box office, it now stands at Rs 1095.50 crore, all set to enter the Rs 1100 crore club.
Its next target is Jawan, which sits at Rs 1160 crore at the worldwide box office. However, since Jawan scored that across languages, Dhurandhar has already become the highest grossing Hindi film worldwide after Dangal. It still has a long way to go before it can dethrone the latter, since the Aamir Khan film is the highest grossing Indian movie ever at Rs 2070.30 crore.
Out of that massive figure, around Rs 1300 crore belongs to the box office in China. If Chinese box office is excluded, Dhurandhar is already the highest grossing Hindi film worldwide. If it beats Jawan in the coming days, it’ll have to surpass four South films before it can get even close to Dangal — KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1215 crore), RRR (Rs 1230 crore), Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1742.10 crore), and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1788.06 crore).
