The Name Game

So the sequel to Hrithik Roshan’s superhero movie,Krrish,is now titled Krrish 3. Why? Well,daddy Rakesh Roshan is superstitious and names all his films with ‘K’,but that is not why the upcoming film is not called “Krrish 2”. His reasoning is that since the film is the third part of a franchise,which began with Koi Mil Gaya,the upcoming film should be titled accordingly. Perhaps if he renames Koi Mil Gaya as “Krrish 1” and Krrish as “Krrish 2”,the whole thing will make more sense.

She’s Got the Moves

The sultry Narayani Shashtri is back on the tube and this time,in an author-backed role. Shashtri will be portraying the character of Gulabia on Zee TV’s upcoming primetime saga Phir Subah Hogi. The show is the story about the Bedia tribe from the Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh. A beautiful ‘raai dancer’ who,in her prime,was the most sought after woman amongst the Thakurs of that region,Shashtri will be seen caught in the whirlpool of societal norms on one hand and her daughter who wants to break free from all customs,on the other. Kamya Punjabi and Achint Kaur were considered for this role before her.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) announced its first list of 14 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, with its state unit chief Raju Tiwary and leader Hulas Pandey among the nominees. As per the seat-sharing arrangement, LJP (RV) will contest 29 seats, while BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each. The remaining 15 candidates will be announced soon.
