Unauthorised colonies: Bill in Parliament winter session

The government will introduce a Bill during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament to allow registration of properties and provide relief to residents in unauthorised colonies from registration charges and stamp duty.

In a briefing about the cabinet decisions, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the cabinet has approved a proposal by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to give relief to residents of unauthorised colonies in the capital.
