Unauthorised colonies: Bill in Parliament winter session

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday approved the proposal to introduce the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) Bill, 2019 during the Winter Session.

The government will introduce a Bill during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament to allow registration of properties and provide relief to residents in unauthorised colonies from registration charges and stamp duty.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday approved the proposal to introduce the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) Bill, 2019 during the Winter Session.

In a briefing about the cabinet decisions, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the cabinet has approved a proposal by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to give relief to residents of unauthorised colonies in the capital.
