Two arrested on theft charges

The Ahmedabad police arrested two persons from the Ghatlodia area of the city in the early hours of Sunday on charges of alleged theft.

The Ahmedabad police arrested two persons from the Ghatlodia area of the city in the early hours of Sunday on charges of alleged theft.

The accused have been identified as Raju Bhil (20) and Mahendra Damor from Vastrapur Gam in Ahmedabad.

Their third accomplice,Jadhavnagar,fled from the spot,the police said.

The police said the three had robbed the Chamunda Dairy Parlour in Karnavati Apartments in the early hours of Sunday.

They had came in an autorickshaw to carry out the heist.

Dairy owner Ganesh Prajapati saw them lifting the TV from the dairy and informed the police,which arrested them.

The police claim to have seized the TV and the autorickshaw used in the crime. Further investigations are on,the police added.
