Maske Trio,an Australian musical outfit, brings some of its sass to Delhi Suzie Gregory cocks her head as she listens to the Bangash brothers playing the sarod and her fellow violinist Jennifer Lynn matching scales. On the cello,Alle Spicer is waiting for her cue to pitch into the musical medley. Theyre looking good and sounding good too. The audience is in for a surprise, says Gregory, who prefers to be called Suzie G. Were doing a special set with Ayaan and Amaan Ali Khan and Louis Bankss drummer son Gino, and doing our own version of Jai ho. Suzie G has created the Maske Trio,an Australian musical outfit that is as much about entertainment and glamour as it is about music. In the Capital as part of the Chivas Studio a three-day event celebrating music, fashion and photography at the ITC Maurya Sheraton the blonde trio are ready to work their sass on Delhiites. We came together as a group three years ago. We all have a background in classical music, but didnt want to sit as part of an orchestra,in a black gown. In the Maske Trio,we play the music we want to play and play it well, says Suzie G. She met Lynn on a social networking site, the two exchanged musical notes and soon Spicer joined them. One of the best parts of being part of the Maske Trio is that we travel all over the world,we play our music dressed in sexy clothes,we flick our hair and get to interact with the crowd in a way that usually only rock stars do, says Spicer. Theyre ready to unleash some of their own compositions, such as Detonation,a track so explosive that they save it for the last. We also perform movie soundtracks and have a special on the James Bond films. Then there are gypsy melodies and the crowdpuller can-can, says Suzie G. Why should boys have all the fun? The concert starts at 7 pm. Contact:4172055
