To mislead HC blast probe,terror mail named Kishtwar preacher: NIA

“During the house search of Wasim at Kishtwar,two blank white papers… carrying indentation marks and a cloak room receipt book containing a requisition slip regarding the depositing of one of the baggage at Old Delhi railway station on June 29,2011 by Wasim while travelling from Kolkata to Jammu en route Delhi were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory along with specimen handwriting of Wasim,” the chargesheet states.

According to the NIA,experts said that the specimen handwriting of Wasim matched the handwriting on the requisition slip. An analysis of mobile phone call details,the NIA claimed,laid bare the conspiracy: “Wasim’s mobile… was in regular touch with another mobile number… being used by a HM terrorist in the month of July 2011.”

According to the chargesheet,Amir Kamal,Junaid and Chhota Hafiz snatched a mobile phone in Dachan Palmar area of Kishtwar,inserted their own SIM card and made calls to Wasim. The man whose mobile phone was snatched has been cited as one of the NIA witnesses.

The NIA also sought FBI assistance in analysing a hard disk seized from a cyber cafe in Kishtwar. “During investigations,requisitions have been sent to Central Authority of the USA under Indo-US Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty,2005 through Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for obtaining details of email id wasim_malik3@yahoo.com,Facebook account of Wasim with the login email id wasim_malik3@yahoo.com and email id harkatuljihadi2011@gmail.com. The reports are awaited,” the chargesheet states. The last ID was used to send terror mails to media houses.
