Vidya Jain Cricket Academys Agnesh Surya repeatedly cleared the ground as he blazed away to an unbeaten century,fast-tracking his team into the pre quarter-finals of the Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament. As he hit 10 massive sixes and seven fours in his 76-ball 117,the other victims of Suryas blade included the parking lot and the local metro line,besides the Rohtak Road Gymkhana team.
Chasing 228,VJCA lost both their openers early. However,Surya shared an unbeaten 176-runs partnership for the fourth wicket with Sanjay Verma (55 n.o.) to see the team through.
Earlier,VJCA captain Naresh Jain won the toss and put the opposition in to bat. Mohit Sharma (91) as Rohtak Road put a competitive total on the board.
