Sahibabad cops transferred for ‘non-performance’

Dissatisfied with the performance of the police team posted in Sahibabad’s Shalimar Garden,Raghuveer Lal,Ghaziabad’s new senior superintendent of police,has transferred the whole post to rural areas.

“There have been three incidents of robbery in Shalimar Garden and the area that falls under the Sahibabad police post. The team could not prevent any of the incidents. Only one of the robbers was arrested and that too because of the presence of the mind of the woman he had attacked. I came to know that the station house officer did not even visit the police post regularly. I have transferred them to rural areas like Dhaulana and Bhojpur,” Lal said.

Those who have been posted to rural areas of Ghaziabad are head constable Sanserpal Singh,constable Satish Chand,sub-inspector Satpal Sharma,constable Ramesh Chandra,constable Krinpal,constable Mehak Singh. While Sanserpal Singh has been transferred to Bhojpur,others have been moved to Dhaulana police station.

Lal,who took over as Ghaziabad’s police chief this Monday,warned other teams of the same fate if crime continued unabated in any area.
