Five women and an alleged pimp, who used a Honda City car for their operations, were held on Wednesday for their reported involvement in the flesh trade.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Chhaya Sharma said,“Vikas Gupta (28) and the five women were apprehended from Rohini Sector 16. We received information that a man, along with some women, were luring people at various places. A public witness was then sent as a decoy customer to negotiate a deal.”

The decoy was reportedly given Rs 1,000 for the purpose, and police arrested Gupta and the women while the deal was being finalised. When questioned,Gupta told the police that they were in the process of procuring girls from Mumbai on a monthly contract of Rs 1 lakh each.

“One of the women, who was already operating from Mumbai, contacted Gupta. Following this,he brought the other accused persons from Mumbai. A friend from Hoogli in West Bengal joined them later on,” Sharma said.

The trio used to allegedly lure businessmen, property dealers and traders in Rohini,

Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri, charging Rs 5,000 for each deal. “For an additional Rs 2,000,liquor and accommodation would be provided to the customers. There was no limit as to how many times a woman would provided to customers during the contract period of a month,” Sharma said.
