Princess Prints

Pria Kataaria Puri’s trademark maxis and kaftans,with their Bohemian-meets-Desert Princess chic,have long been popular with the jet set. Fashion critics may be divided over her creations,which sometimes overdose on prints and bling,but,with her clothes finding a market in India as well as abroad,there’s no denying that the designer is a force to reckon with in the fashion business. It’s for this reason that the designer received recognition for her “distinctive contribution to the fashion industry” at the Asian Achievers Awards 2011,celebrated by the Human Achievers Foundation in Dubai. Kataaria Puri was,of course,overwhelmed by the award and said,“It is an unfathomable emotion and,most importantly,being so lucky to be given this prestigious award simply raises the bar higher and gives me the drive to work harder and change my own yardstick.”
