German Embassy in India has begun celebrating Oktoberfest in Delhi,an annual fair marked by cultural events and large-scale consumption of beer and German delicacies.

Oktoberfest an annual fair marked by cultural events and large-scale consumption of beer and German delicacies the German Embassy in India has begun celebrating it in Delhi. On German National Day,October 3,German ambassador Michael Steiner and his wife Eliese hosted more than 2,000 guests

on the lawns of the German Residence for the Delhi Oktoberfest.

It was arguably the first authentic Oktoberfest

on Indian soil as most of the ingredients came from Bavaria. This included the original Oktoberfest beer brewn in Munich,the brass band Dellnhauser from the Bavarian village of Pfaffenhofen,Bavarian waitresses in their dirndls,beer benches and beer tables,the original Guild Tree,and a wheat beer serving robot. Steiner said,We had the traditional Guild Tree. It displays the traditional manufacturing professions. In other words pure vocational training,the secret of economic success.
