Siblings held for raping 15-year-old girl in Northeast Delhi

Two autorickshaw drivers, who are siblings, were arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Northeast Delhi.

Officers said the complainant girl alleged that she was raped by the two accused who are her neighbours. DCP (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said the brothers, aged 24 and 22, were held following a search at their house. The police added that the complainant’s statement was recorded and she was being counselled.

The accused allegedly used to rape the girl near her house after luring her under various pretexts. A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections pertaining to rape as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
