Noida: Week after freak pool accident, 9-year-old declared dead

A nine-year-old boy drowned in a freak accident at a swimming pool in Noida, Sector-78.

The boy, identified as Aditya Warddhan, was trapped at the bottom of the pool after his hand got stuck inside an open hole. The victim reportedly couldn’t free himself from the suction created by the hole.

The incident happened on June 30 at Mahagun Mansion. After attempts to resuscitate him at the pool failed, Warddhan was taken to to Gangaram Hospital. He was declared dead today after being on ventilator for about a week.
