The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Prediction Day 1: With Vijay’s Tamil film Jana Nayagan postponed, it seems that the Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab is going to start its theatrical run with much less competition at the Pan-Indian box office. Directed by Maruthi Dasari, the film is already looking well equipped for a great start at theatres across the country. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already sold tickets worth Rs 4.31 crore, and that number does not account for block seats.

The film currently has 2,961 shows across the country, and it has sold 1,52,027 tickets, which brings the average to around 51 sets of eyes in each show. Andhra Pradesh leads the race and accounts for Rs 3.49 crore of the total sale. The state also has 1175 shows, with 191 of them almost full and 123 of them filling fast. When considering block seats, the state of Andhra Pradesh has already made the makers of the film Rs 6 crore. The paid premier show costs around Rs 1000 per seat, while the normal shows cost in the Rs 250 -Rs 370 range.

This is good news, especially for Prabhas, whose last film, Kannappa, made Rs 33 crore net domestically despite having a cast filled with names like Akshay Kumar, Vishnu Manchu, Mohanlal and Mohan Babu. The last film that Prabhas led was Kalki 2898 AD, which became one of the top-grossing films of the decade, bringing in Rs 643 crore net domestically and Rs 1042 crore worldwide. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the cast of the film also included Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Keerthy Suresh.

Prabhas will be hoping to recreate his past box office performances with The Raja Saab, as he will have to carry much of the film by himself, in comparison to the aforementioned blockbuster. Jana Nayagan’s postponement helps the makers of The Raja Saab in the overseas market, as the Vijay starrer was running away with the advance bookings. Two days before its planned release, Jana Nayagan had collected Rs 35 crore in advance bookings, and The Raja Saab was stuck on Rs 11 crore. Now with the playing field clear, the film can run amok at the box office.

Directed by Maruthi Dasari, the cast of The Raja Saab includes Prabhas, Ridhhi Kumar, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Yogi Babu, Brahmanandam, and Boman Irani.
