NDMC has one Convention Centre with an auditorium, three conference halls and two stadiums which can be booked for conferences and events. Two Baraat Ghars and Community Halls also come under the NDMC which can be booked for social, cultural and other activities by organizations as well as individuals.
According to the NDMC, this decision has been taken to discourage the consumption of single-use plastic in its area and to promote biodegradable material. “To ensure the strict implementation of this initiative, the NDMC is considering the formation of a monitoring team tasked with overseeing compliance,” NDMC vice-chairperson Satish Upadhyay said.
