More than 48 hours, eight separate teams, one pursuit and Delhi Police were yet to track down Somnath Bharti till late Wednesday night.
Police believe the Malviya Nagar MLA is moving from one place to another.
“At present, Bharti is using more than three mobile phones. Police traced his movement in Uttam Nagar, but he left in a car for Khajuri Khas. He moved from there too and is hiding somewhere in Ghaziabad,” said police sources.

Police have questioned at least eight persons including close aides of the MLA to know his whereabouts.
Several police officials have been deployed at Bharti’s house and office. Teams are conducting raids in several places in Delhi and NCR.
“We had questioned Bharti’s brother, Loknath Bharti, and his private secretary last evening to know about his whereabouts. They were allowed to go later. We also questioned close aides of Bharti,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (south-western range) Dependra Pathak.
Sources said police teams were raiding places in Faridabad and Gurgaon.
“Some party workers who sheltered Bharti last time when he was evading arrest have been called for questioning,” police sources said.
