The agitating employees are with Rajasthan Bombay Transport Corporation (RBTC),the operator engaged by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to run feeder buses.

The employees are demanding refund of security deposit, bonus, cancellation of penalties imposed on a section of workers,ESIC,and provident fund facility. Employees alleged that RBTC took a security deposit of Rs 10,000 from drivers and Rs 30,000 from conductors at the time of joining.

“But despite working for two years there is no provision of ESIC and provident fund during the employment period,” said Ajay Swamy,an expelled employee leading the agitation at Dwarka Sector-9. “We have not been paid one month’s bonus at the end of one year,as promised by the employer.”

RBTC’s contract with Delhi Metro lapses on September 23 and fresh tenders have been floated for contract renewal.
