Maya splashes expressway with Hoardings

It seems Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati wants her share of Commonwealth Games glory too. Her government has installed several hoardings and banners on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway,the venue of a cycling event next week.

The hoardings,with pictures of Mayawati displayed prominently,have slogans like “We take pride in Commonwealth Games”,“Noida a road to excellence” and “Greater Noida planned with obsession”.

Sources said the advertisement campaign has been cleared by the Chief Minister and aims to bring out the development projects of her government.

Meanwhile,sources said the administration has prepared plans for the smooth conduct of the event and has also enhanced security along the venue. Several hundred police personnel have been posted along the 20-km route from which regular traffic has been diverted.
