Man misses flight to Delhi, makes ‘hoax bomb call’ to delay it
As per security protocol, as soon as the flight landed in the Capital, it was moved to an isolated location and searched but nothing was found.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly making a hoax bomb call after he missed a Darbhanga to Delhi flight, officers said Saturday.
The accused, Jay Krishna Kumar, is a resident of Supaul district in Bihar. He was to board a SpiceJet flight to Delhi on January 24. He made the call to intentionally try to delay the flight as he couldn’t board it on time, said police.
DCP (IGI) Usha Rangnani said on January 24, they received a PCR call at IGI Police Station at 6.12 pm from the CISF control room which stated that the security manager of SpiceJet airlines claimed their call centre in Gurgaon received a call from a person who said he overheard a conversation between two boys talking about a bomb on a SpiceJet flight from Darbhanga to Delhi.

Subsequently, a team from the Delhi Police IGI unit was formed and efforts were made to trace the caller. Surveillance was mounted and the accused was arrested.
During questioning, Kumar told police that he graduated from Magadh University and works for a BPO. He said he made the hoax call after he missed the flight.
