Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung Tuesday appointed a three-Member committee to examine over 400 files submitted by the Delhi Government, and also those containing “infirmities & irregularities”.

The panel will look into omissions/commissions, as also fix responsibility of individuals, including civil and criminal liability, if any.

The announcement comes on the day when Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of meddling  in the state affairs. Earlier on Tuesday, Kejriwal posted on Twitter the office of L-G Jung were transferred without consulting the chief minister or anyone from the government.

“Today, several officers transferred by LG directly. Files not even shown to CM or any minister. Is this Modi model of democracy?” he wrote.

The chief minister said the L-G transferred the officers despite deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s repeated requests to desist from issuing the orders till March 31. “Modiji is hell bent on destroying Delhi thro LG,” Kejriwal alleged in another tweet.

Recently the Delhi High Court ruled in Centre’s favour over the administrative tussle between the AAP government and L-G Jung. The order was a major setback to the AAP government which has been pursuing demands for statehood of Delhi ever since its ascension to power. The High Court also termed the decisions of the AAP government to probe irregularities in DDCA and CNG fitness scam as ‘illegal.’
