After getting strict on H1-B visas,the American Center in Delhi and US Commercial Service organised a day-long seminar for tourists and tourism professionals regarding visa procedures,hotels and flights. Representatives from Continental Airlines and the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau disregarged questions about flailing tourism to the US from India,hit because of the slowdown and tiresome security measures,but acknowledged that more needs to be done to lure them there. “We have a non-stop daily flight to New York from Mumbai and Delhi that’s really picking up,” said Pushkar Palsule of Continental,while Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority representative Vani Singh said,“We need more seminars like this so the tourist finds everything,airlines,hotels and amusement park options under one roof.” Destination USA,anyone?
