Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh Tuesday approved the immediate posting and transfer of three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in the Nuh, Kurukshetra and Rohtak districts of the state.

The order, issued by Anurag Rastogi, Chief Secretary, is with immediate effect.

Vishram Kumar Meena, a 2017-batch Haryana cadre officer who was serving as Deputy Commissioner, Nuh, and CEO, Mewat Development Agency, was transferred to Kurukshetra as the Deputy Commissioner, against a “vacant post”.

Meena, a 2011 electrical and electronics engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, assumed his post at Nuh on December 2 last year.

Meena will replace Neha Singh, against whom farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni launched an indefinite dharna in July, accusing her of “rude behaviour” during a meeting on long-pending compensation for land acquisition, a charge denied by the officer.

There is a lack of clarity about Singh’s new or current posting as of now.

Akhil Pilani, a 2018-batch IAS officer, previously Deputy Commissioner, Yamunanagar, and Commissioner, Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation, was appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Nuh, and CEO of the Mewat Development Agency, relieving Meena.
