With 110 designers on board for this edition of the WIFW and some stalwarts like Ritu Beri and Suneet Varma making a comeback,Sunil Sethi,President,Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is beaming. “It doesn’t work to sit on a high horse and say the designers need us. We need them to survive as a body. We were the ones who had first taken Anshu (Arora) to Selfridges in London. It’s a pleasure to have people like her back on board with us after so long,” he says,with pride. Designer Ritu Beri,also participating in the Week,murmured her approval. “With everybody together,I think the energy is just right to participate,” she says.
