Gurgaon cops to send SMS alerts

In a move to bring the police closer to the residents of Gurgaon,the district police,in collaboration with a community portal http://www.jiobindaas.com,launched three new services on Friday. These include free SMS alerts,mobile social networking facility,and status updates on passport applications. The initiative began in October when the community portal launched its unique “immediate communication” facility.
