What do a silver motor car box,a Rolex self-winding wristwatch,a pair of diamond and ruby cufflinks and a 1961 Pontiac Laurentian car have in common? Other than the fact that they all spell luxury in bold letters,these beauties will be a part of the Saffronart online auction,aptly called the ‘Gentleman’s Sale’. Starting on April 17,at 9 pm,this 24-hour auction features a selection of 70 luxury and limited edition products for the ‘discerning gentleman’.

Interestingly,this is the first time that Saffronart has come up with such an auction,where all the products being featured are mainly targeted at men. “After the encouraging response to our auctions of fine jewellery and watches,we felt this was a good time to come up with something for the male clientele. With a line-up of products from luxury brands such as Hermes,Rolex,Patek Philippe,Montblanc and Tiffany & Co,among many others,the products make for ideal gifts,” says Nish Bhutani,Chief Operating Officer (COO),Saffronart.

The total estimate of the auction is valued between Rs 1.3 crore to Rs 1.6 crore. However,not everything on offer is highly priced. While the most expensive item on the list is the Rolex self-winding triple calendar wristwatch (with an estimated value between Rs 23,50,000 and Rs 28,50,000),the most attractively priced item,Bhutani points out,is a silver paperclip from Tiffany & Co that’s priced at Rs 3,900 onwards.
