Delhi: Man electrocuted after he accidentally touches socket, says cops

A 26-year-old export house manager was electrocuted after he accidentally put his finger inside the socket while trying to plug in his laptop cable. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon at his home in southeast Delhi’s Tughlakabad Extension.

Police said Brijesh’s wife tried to pull his hand away from the socket but it was too late.

Brijesh was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Police said the body has been handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.

“His laptop has been sent to the forensic lab to detect if there was any fault in the appliance,” said an officer.
