Decked up for Diwali

As the countdown to the Festival of Lights begins, malls in the Capital are keeping up with the festive spirit.

The MGF Metropolitan Mall in Gurgaon has put forward its invitation to Goddess Laxmi with a large scale rangoli design in peacock feather colours, using different kinds of velvet paper and lights, albeit without the use of any powdered colours.

The Gayatri mantra, an intrinsic element of everyday rituals in several Indian homes, dots the roof of Select City Walk mall, adorning large saffron coloured scrolls and decorative lights. Accompanying the mantra and a cluster of electronically lit Diyas, are the words Shubh Labh.

The Lord of good beginnings in the form of a 14 feet tall Ganesha made using a string of flowers and traditional brass will greet visitors at Dlf Promenade mall in Vasant Kunj.
