Committee probes rape charge against 83-yr-old
The police are still investigating the alleged rape of a 19-year-old domestic help by her 83-year-old employer at his Belvedere Park condominium in DLF City here. “In fact,the committee formed by it has submitted a preliminary report saying the victim’s hymen was intact,” Commissioner of Police (Gurgaon) S S Deswal said. The woman had been employed a fortnight before she complained of rape. “We are verifying the details provided by the maid since the allegation seems suspicious,” Deswal added. The police have not given a clean-chit to the accused yet.

Body of 6-year-old girl found in house
Faridabad: The decomposed body of a six-year-old girl was found inside an abandoned house in NIT,Faridabad on Monday afternoon. The deceased,Manpreet Kaur,went missing from her residence on Gurdwara Road in NIT on May 29 around 9 pm,said the police. The police have registered a case under Sections 302 (murder),362 (kidnapping) and 201 (destruction of evidence) against one Sandeep. “He was the last to be seen with the child,” the police added.

Abetment to suicide: SHO goes missing
After a 44-year-old property dealer reportedly committed suicide in Gurgaon last week,accusing the Station House Officer of DLF Phase-I in his suicide note,the accused officer is absconding. The accused policeman,Rishi Pal,had been accused of asking for Rs 10 lakh as bribe from the property dealer,Dinesh Yadav. According to DCP (West) Ved Prakash,Pal was transferred to Police Lines as soon as the incident came to light. “When he was summoned by seniors for interrogation,the inspector in-charge discovered Pal has gone missing. When he failed to report at work for the next couple of days,we were forced to suspend him,” said the DCP.
