Constable on run,manager held on molestation charge

The woman told police that Zafar was drunk at the time of the incident. “The victim,a journalist by profession,knew the constable. A medico-legal certificate of the victim and her husband revealed that they were also drunk when the incident occurred,” Singh said.

A case has been registered against Zafar.

In another incident of alleged molestation,police arrested a manager of a private firm at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Thursday for harassing three of his female colleagues. An aide of the accused is absconding,police said.

According to police,the manager was arrested from IGI airport after a female staffer of his company filed a complaint. “We contacted the company and arrested him with their help. Another person is absconding. We are trying to trace him,” said DCP (IGI) R A Sanjeev.

According to the FIR,the woman works at a T-3 lounge handled by a firm. She told police that the assistant manager at the firm had “proposed” to her in August this year. When she rejected his advances,he started “molesting and harassing” her.

She alleged the manager then shifted her to the team of his friend to “punish” her.
