1 Maharashtra: Mumbai cha Dabbawallah the Maharashtra tableau,through dabbawallahs who have been in service for the last 120 years will depict the day to day life
2 UTTARAKHAND: The tableau is based on the theme of Kumbh Mela-Hardwar and will showcase samudramanthan on the front and Har Ki Pauri in Hardwar on the rear side
3 Rajasthan: The tableau will carry the model of Jaipur Jantar Mantar,one among the five in the country in working condition,and a statue of Maharaja Jai Singh who built the monument
4 Manipur: This one is all about dragons and spirits. The tableau is centered around Hiyang Tanaba (boat racing). Will also feature a boat,Hiyang Hiren,which is considered to have spiritual powers
5 MINISTRY OF TRIBAL AFFAIRS: The theme is Empowering Tribals Through Forest Rights Act,2006. A tribal dance performance will be a special feature of the tableau
6 JAMMU AND KASHMIR: The Himalayan state,led by local artisans dressed in the traditional pherans,will showcase its world-famous handicrafts,right from the process of weaving,washing to the finished product
7 KERaLA: The winner of 2008 and 2009 best tableaux will this year depict Padayani,a festival celebrated in the Kali temples of South-Central Kerala. It will also feature live performance of Padayani figures in front of a Kali temple
8 Bihar: Bhagalpur Ki Lok Sanskriti: Resham Udyog (The Bhagalpur Silk Industry). The tableau will depict weavers and the lifecycle of a silkworm
