In yet another letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has urged him to “resolve the differences” between the Centre and the AAP government “in the interest of the people”.
Calling the situation in Delhi unprecedented, Kejriwal stated in the letter, “I fully agree with the sentiments expressed by Supreme Court…There are so many things that have happened in the past seven months that have never happened in the 23 years of democratic tradition in NCT Delhi”.

He claimed that Lt-Governor Najeeb Jung was issuing direct orders to Delhi government officers. Kejriwal also mentioned that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) was declaring orders given by the Delhi government null and void, despite being a “separate legal entity”.
Kejriwal also brought up the fight over the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), saying the ACB has been “usurped by Jung through executive orders with novel interpretation of rules and statues”. “The government has tried time and again that the day-to-day lives of people should not affected by the Centre-state conflict,” wrote the CM.
He also alleged that the Centre has not cooperated with him. “I have no doubt that with appropriate cooperation, if received from ministers, the progress of Delhi would have been much more. I have made several efforts to resolve this…I don’t believe there is any issue that cannot be resolved. All that is required is a little open-mindedness and primacy for welfare of people. I would go the extra mile to resolve this,” stated Kejriwal’s letter.
