Oldest foot-overbridge being dismantled

New Delhi: Dismantling of the oldest foot-overbridge in Delhi,the iron bridge in Daryaganj,started on Saturday night. The iron debris will be sold at Rs 12 lakh,while the cost of dismantling is estimated at Rs 80,000,the MCD said. The Traffic Police had given the MCD time till Sunday to dismantle the structure,but officials said the civic agency is likely to seek more time.

Aaj Tak producer killed in accident

Gurgaon: A producer with Aaj Tak news channel,Vikramjit Singh,died in an accident on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway ar 4.15 am on Sunday. Police said Singh was returning home in his Skoda car from Dwarka when a truck rammed his car from behind. The accident took place on the flyover near Shankar Chowk. The entire car was smashed and Singh died on the spot, said a senior police officer of DLF Phase-II. The truck driver fled the spot,police added.
