New Delhi: A technical snag on Thursday evening brought several Metro trains to a halt on the Gurgaon-Jehangirpuri corridor during rush-hour. Commuters had a harrowing time after a portion of the overhead electrification line broke near the Qutab Minar Metro station. Services were restored around 8.30 pm,two hours after the disruption.

Justice S U Khan to head Noida cases bench

Noida: Justice S U Khan was on Thursday nominated by the Allahabad High Court Chief Justice to head the three-judge bench hearing land acquisition cases of Noida and Greater Noida. Justices Ashok Bhushan and V K Shukla will continue to remain on the bench. On Wednesday,Justice R K Agrawal had recused himself from the matter as his son was representing one of the builders in a land acquisition case. The new bench will fix a date for hearing of the cases which is being keenly tracked by officials,farmers,investors and builders.
