Ghaziabad: A 20-year-old engineering student of SRM College,Modinagar,committed suicide by allegedly hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his room in a private hostel in the early hours of Thursday. Police said Abdul Manan Wani’s body was discovered by his hostelmate Naman. Officers said prima facie,it seemed that the boy had ended his life due to a failed relationship.

HC pulls up govt,civic agencies over waterlogging

New Delhi: Delhi HC Chief Justice N V Ramana on Thursday pulled up civic agencies and the Delhi government for negligence while hearing a PIL related to issues of waterlogging in the capital. “What has happened to the system? For last two-three days,I am mostly dealing with civic and municipal works. There is no judicial work,” Ramana said.
